Daniel Küng was born on 7 October 1952 in Aristau (Aargau). He studied at the universities of Berne, Quito (Ecuador) and St. Gallen and graduated with the degree of lic. oec. HSG from St. Gallen.
His professional career started in 1975 with various placements and short-term posts in Zurich, Berne, Caracas, Quito and New York. In 1980 he became the Assistant to the Executive Board and Sales Management Office Manager at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil (São Paulo). In 1982 he founded AGROSUISSE Lda. (São Paulo, Brazil), of which he was the Executive Partner till 1987. In 1987 he founded Response Group (Lisbon, Portugal), where he worked as the Executive Partner till June 2004. Since then he has been CEO at Osec, Zürich
